the starting point of both database and blog has grown out of the conviction that the history of automatization is elementary in understanding the changes of the past century
the starting point of both database and blog is an overwhelming enthusiasm to explore the numerous aspects of the history of computing and to share some of my findings
the database is a collection of all kinds of material related to this subject and a place for analysis and reflection of the existing information and knowledge
besides the technical information there will be special attention to approach the data elements in a broader spectrum (context) where different factors effect each other and are inherent
this blog will be an attempt to give a closer look at a few subjects related to the history of computing, namely:
european computers, hardware/software design, evolutions during the past century, social and economical aspects of automatization, man/machine interaction, etc....
another Point of Interest is the "design" of the computer, in particular the evolution of large specialized computers to small, beautiful and user-friendly machines
is it possible to describe a history of 'computer-design' (shape, colours, use of materials)?
